Hasan Pasa Koftesi (Hasan Pasa Meatball)

Here is a dinner idea! This Turkish dish takes a little time to prepare, but it's worth!
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion(grated)
2 slices bread(no crusts, soak in the water and squeeze)
1 glove garlic(minced)
1 egg
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper, salt

Mashed potato;
2 potatoes
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon buttery vegetable oil,
salt, nutmeg

1 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoon mozzarella cheese(shredded), thyme and sumac
Put the peeled potatoes in a bowl. Add salt and cold water to cover them. Cook until potatoes are tender, drain and let cool.
Put the meatball ingredient in a bowl. Knead with your hands. Shape round and make a hole with your thump in the middle of the each kofte. Cook about 20 munite.
Meanwhile, mash the potatoes by your method of choice. Add vegetable oil, milk, nutmeg and salt.
Take the koftes out. Drain on a paper towels.
Fill each koftes with mozzarella and cover mashed potatoes with a spoon.
Sprinkle thyme and sumac.
Pour the sauce with spoon on the each piece. Pour the rest of the sauce slowly into the dishes and cook over 375 F about 10 minutes more.
Serve hot. Afiyet Olsun!

You can serve with patlican salata(eggplant salad) and pilav(pilaf)
