After 8 hours at school....

Surprise Ending!

Have you seen 'It's Complicated' yet? You know I love romantic comedies:)
This complicated and funny movie is from the same director(Nancy Meyers) of Something's Gotta Give which I loved that movie too. I laughed a lot when watching that movie!
'It's Complicated' has surprise ending. If you haven't seen this one yet, enjoy watching Oscar-worthy actors Baldwin and Streep in this fun movie! I enjoyed to watch this Meryl Streep movie much more than 'Mamma Mia'.

Our weekend was relaxing and yummy!!!

It was beautiful out here on Friday and Saturday.

After the school we hanged together around our house!

He's eating his lollipop he brought from the school:-)

and telling me about his day..

Somehow he can't talk without using his hands:-)

On Saturday, Aria and I went to the Venetian Shore Park

and enjoyed to spend a few hours together...

and enjoyed the warm sand..

Sun was shining brightly over the ocean...

The shore was beautiful and so relaxing...

When we got back home I baked a few eggplants and potatoes.

I got those baby eggplants last week. They were yummy!

Baked&Stuffed Eggplant;

Combine cubed tomatoes, cucumber, chopped scallion, parsley,

finely chopped Romain lettuce and stuff each eggplant with this mixture.

Drizzle with the dressing.

Dressing;

Olive oil, garlic(minced), balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper.

It was delicious! Aria loved it.

Even though he is not a big fan of eggplant :)

Baked Potatoes;

We all love baked potatoes mixed with Parmesan cheese,

topped with a teaspoon whipped butter each

and sprinkled with chopped chives...

Mmmmmm that was a quick ride to heaven!!!

Caring for Earth!

I always remind him to turn off the light before leave the bathroom.



He came from the school today, showed his 'Caring for Earth Book' to me he colored and went to the bathroom(as usual). He was washing his hands and said;
'Hey mom, let's not forget to turn off the light after use the bathroom.It's really important!' :))

Off today!

Today is the first day of Spring Break. My son is home. It's raining again today. We woke up late this morning and I'm taking a day off blogging. I promised my son to spent together today.

I made coffee, poured in my favorite cup (Yes, fruit figures again. Love it:))
And we're making pancakes for breakfast together!!!

La, la, la.. I'm a monkey!

The snow stopped and the sun came out! The scene outside my window is beautiful!
We had a late breakfast today.My son asked what my favorite fruit is. I said 'I really don't know. I never though of it before, I think all of them'.
He said 'if you would be allowed only one, what would you choose? ' Ok, he loves to talk while eating. He always finds a topic and makes my mouth busy.
Lol, kind a good for me. I eat less:) right?
-'Is apple your favorite one that you eat everyday? ' Then I realized that I cannot live without banana and orange. I said 'don't ask me to make it only one! I eat apple everyday but I really enjoy to eat banana and orange more than apple. Also everything with them'. He said 'I love banana too. I'm a monkey! Then he made up 'I'm a monkey' song and I listened that song
ALL MORNING :)
-'What time does your favorite show start?'
Schools are closed today and it seems like I will hear that song again and again for the rest of the day! We are having a lazy day!

A Special Dish For A Special Day!

I am making MANTI for dinner today! Hubby loves it!

One of the most difficult dishes of Turkish Cuisine but it's worth it. So delicious!!!

This picture was taken 3 years ago on Valentine's Day. My hubby walked in with a Happy Valentine's Day Balloon, a hearth shaped chocolate and a bottle of champagne. He really surprised me! It was an unforgetable moment for me. But it is not the only of course!

I'm thankful for good time we spent together. Hopefully we'll get to spend more time together in the future.

Ever since he got his first skateboard last summer, it's all he talks about. .

We went to the skatepark yesterday. It was fun to watch him trying..

When he lost his balance and fell down, quickly got back up and kept trying :)

He was so happy!
