L I I T..Want some???

It has been a while since we’ve spent some time just drinking and talking. Hubby works long hours and comes home tired. Last Friday, Aria got tired wrestling with daddy around on the ground and went to bed. We were talking about last summer, cocktails and especially one made with gin, tequila, rum and vodka. Long Island Ice Tea!It’s been popular in Long Island for a long time. Hubby was trying to remember who invented this drink. And I was helping him saying any name that comes to mind:) Hehe..I really confused him ;) Then we looked it up, of course. Wikipedia says;'Long Island Iced Tea, a summer drink was first served in the late 1970s by Robert (Rosebud) Butts, a bartender at the Oak Beach Inn, in the Town of Babylon, Long Island, New York.’

I love that drink. I prepared it once with the help of a friend before. It was fun to make this drink as much as drinking it:) Here is the recipe if you'd like to give a try.

Long Island Ice Tea
1 part Gin
1 part Rum
1 part Tequila

1 part Triple Sec

1 part Vodka

1 ½ parts Sour mix
A little Coca-Cola for color
Mix ingredients(except coke) with ice in a collins glass then transfer to shaker and shake then pour back into glass. Then pour soda water(Coca-Cola, Pepsi, or RC Cola) without stirring. Garnish with lemon or lime.
We didn't realize how late it was. I think we were very loud and woke Aria up:) Lol, he insisted to join   the conversation. He wondered what we were laughing about..Hubby and I looked at each other..that unexpected situation made us laugh louder!(Mom's time out was over!!!)
