Did you mean a real car?

Not only does he want a new car, he wants to learn more about cars. I tought he wanted me to buy new toy cars as usual. Oh, no! He was asking about the real ones!!! We spent some time today to search on internet and see some pictures. Oh, he loved it!!!

It seems his tastes range from crossovers like the Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona to sports like the Mercedes and Mazda Miata.

I woke up to my son's voice this morning:)
-Mommy, are you awake?
Love to hear his voice in the mornings. I hear his voice sometimes calling me, even though he is at school.
Does it ever happen to you too?
Anyway, he told me that he would like to see different types of car photos!
He saw the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro! He fell in love with it! His favorite is yellow Chevrolet:) Then pointed 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL and wanted me to buy it :) I told him that we don't have the money for this car. Then he started to ask the prices first before choosing:)

Our morning was full of cars!!! Kia ,2010 Mazda then we checked Dodge ram out! Here is the link; 2010 Dodge ram review...
He was getting hungry and none of them seemed better than a cheese omlette to him at that moment. I wasn't expecting more questions but no way!

-Why don't we buy a new car mom? You know we need a better car!
-We will, Tiger! Just need more time, OK? He loves that nickname.
-Oh, I understand that! (Actually I'm not sure if he really does).
I gave a BIG hug to him. He hugged me back tightly..
-I'm hungry mom!

We didn't buy a new car today :) But our eyes were shining after seeing those pretty new car photos !!!

Happy Sunday!!!

Baked Apples

3 apples (4133)

1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

2/4 cup water

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup crushed pecan

powdered sugar or splenda

I don't know whose bright idea it was to have the numbers on fruit but it is pretty handy.
Especially if I asked my hubby to buy them :)
Peel, quarter and core the apples. Place in a pan. Combine water, cinnamon and orange juice. Pour the mixture over the apples. Cover with a aluminum foil. Bake them at 350 degrees about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven.
BTW, I burned my finger on the baking pan ...OWWW!

But its worth it!
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or splenda.
Serve with lite whip cream and crushed pecan when cool.
Easy and yummy ;)

You know where to find me. KITCHEN!!!

It has been cloudy and raining here last couple of days. Ugh!!
Yesterday, after I sent my son to school, picking up the stuff, vacuuming, dusting and finally got in my kitchen.

I saw the tomatoes on the counter. They were very ripe! Prepare them for cooking and roasted them(posted this recipe below)

I was listening Lite Fm.:) Music motivates me, love it! Actually I never turn the radio off. Even night time! Loovee listening to slow music while sleeping.
My hubby too!.
So I turned the volume up a bit end enjoyed cooking :)
It was so peaceful and relaxing.

Sometimes when I feel a need to do things away from the computer I head straight to the kitchen. Oh, there is always something to do in there..hehehe..

I spent my time out in my kitchen this week. What about you?
I can't even wait to read how the other moms spent their time out..

roasted tomatoes

I had some very ripe tomatoes in the bowl and wanted to do something that would preserve the tomatoes for later use.

Roasted them with garlic-olive oil mixture and some spicies!

I used;
8 ripe tomatoes
8 gloves of garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
salt, pepper, dry oregano

Chop small tomatoes in half and slice larger tomatoes in thirds or quarters.
Combine the pepper, salt, thyme or oregano, minced garlic and olive oil in a large bowl.
Whisk to blend. Add the tomatoes stir to coat with the oil mixture. Put them in a 350F.
Time will vary depending on your tomatoes. (Cook them untill they've started to brown).

Mmmm..smells good!

They can be used anywhere tomatoes are usually found. Extra tomatoes into something...
Isn't it wonderful ? They make the best sauce I love. Just spoon it over some pasta, with a bit of Parmesan maybe or just blend them until the sauce is smooth and toss it with pasta. Use in the tomato soups! Even with the salads and omelettes. They freeze very well to use all winter (up to 6 months) or store in the refrigerator for 1 week.

We also loved them on toasted whole wheat bread slices for breakfast :)

Goodbye Summer!

Yesterday was the first day of school. Our son is in 2nd grade..Yay!!!
He woke up yesterday very happy! He has always loved school.
Singing, laughing..he grabbed the camcorder, recorded me and made fun of me getting fat!!! Good reminder..I better be more careful watching my weight again ;-)
Finally the school bus showed up and he's offically second grade now.

I had a cup of tea, sat on the couch and enjoy the silence. I almost forgot all summer how good it was.. being alone at home and relaxing!

Goodbye Summmer! I turned the AC off, opened the windows..It was great to hear the birds.
Sun was in the living room. Wasn't it the same tea I have always had? Gosh! It was more delicious yesterday.

Grabbed a pillow..Mmmm smells good. Because I sprayed it with Febreeze..hehehe ;)
Would it be always like that if I didn't have a kid?
Oh, no! That feeling was good but not all the time!

Only one hour was enough to clear my mind and release how thankful I am for having a wonderful kid. My life wouldn't be meaningful without him.
I spent one hour for myself before to start picking up the stuff, cleaning, cooking..

I'm really glad I joined 'Time Out for Theta Mom Thursday'.

Thanks Heather! How creative you are!
Also I gotta tell you how much I enjoyed when I was sharing my feelings with y'all ;)

Have a wonderful Thursday!

would you like a cup of tea?

The amazing health benefits of tea!

Latest findings;

*Tea made from loose leaves has more antioxidants than tea bags, which tend to have lower-quality, powdered leaves.

*Black tea is turning out to be just as healthful as green tea.

*One cup of black or green tea has more antioxidant power than a serving of broccoli, carrots or spinach.

*Tea decaffeinated using a natural CO-2 process retains 90% of its cancer-fighting properties.

*White tea appears to have more potent anticancer qualities than green tea.

*According to a new study, green tea appears to accelerate calorie burning - including fat calories.

*Drinking black tea may lower the risk of heart disease because it prevents blood from clumping and forming clots.

*Tea can lower 'bad' cholesterol levels

*Tea is one of the single best cancer fighters you can put in your body,

*Tea flavonoids may be bone builders.

*The wonder cup just got even more wonderful. Green tea, rich in antioxidant treasures that protect against heart disease and cancer, now shows promise as an allergy fighter.

I myself love both tea and coffee, just depends on the mood. What about you?
Are you a coffee drinker or tea drinker?

Happy Sunday!

17 Again ???/ Updated 💕

Updated💕
I've been checking out the old posts of mine yesterday, saw this post and thought of a talk with my 15 year old last week. He was looking for a movie, asked me about a movie that caught his eye. As a teenager and also a fan of Zac Efron, he said 'Ma, what about 17 again, I really wanna see Zac in this movie.'
It was a movie I mentioned in the one of my posts when I saw the movie for the first time in 2009. Aria was only 7 years old. 8 years ago...Now, he is a teenager, unbelievable 💕

Life is like a movie. In each role, each of us, the actor accumulates experiences and adds to their resume of roles. A life story!
The important thing to remember is not to take things too seriously and enjoy the role..every year, every month, every day, every moment!

In 2009🗽 and now (Nov, 2016)

Original post
-------💕---------

I invited one of my fun friends to brunch yesterday. I'm glad I did :-)
My husband took my son Aria to the skatepark and I spent a few hours with my friend.
We were just like high school kids :-) I'm serious...We started to talk about actors. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Paul Walker, Russell Crowe.. Did I say George Clooney ? ;-)
Oh, yeah I did, hehe...We laughed a lot!
It was really FUN!!!

I guess I can start dating my husband again. Hahaha...

Yesterday, made me feel just like a 17 year old girl! Have you ever thought if you could be 17 again, what you would want to do differently?
When I asked this question to myself, I thought that I would need to make a list! Really!..
But then I realized that the answer is short and easy!

I would want to be Aria's mom again :-) But I would enjoy every step of my youngness more than I did..

Have you seen the movie '17 Again' yet? It is a good one!

I gotta tell you..I made my 'cheesy bread' for brunch and my friend loved it.

Have a great Thursday!!

Chick Peas Salad

Today we went shopping for my son. Schools open next week.
His pants I bought him in the spring are still new. But they don't fit him anymore!
He is growing so fast!!!

When I got back home grabbed a Goya Chick Peas and made a salad.
My mom used to buy dry chick peas, soak them overnight and then she used to boil them. I do use dry chick peas too :-)
But today, I really wanted to make this salad and I used canned chick peas. Anyway, taste was good..
I haven't made this salad for a couple months.
My husband said "oh, my favorite salad! "
He says that for every salad I made !
I couldn't figure it out yet..Which one is really his favorite or most favorite??? Maybe he's just being kind :-)

I still don't know but I love this salad with chicken breast and rice :-)
Dry or canned!!!

15.5 oz. canned Goya Chick Peas (drained and rinsed)
1 small red onion(chopped)
1 medium cucumber(chopped)
1 red bell pepper
balsamic vinegar,
olive oil, minced garlic,
oregano, salt and pepper

Toss all ingredients together and chill!
Ready to serve!
If my son doesn't eat chopped up cucumbers all while tossing it :D)
