2009 happy new year!

I wanted to taste something different, something new as a dessert this evening.
We like pudding. Rice, chocolate..but this time, tried mocha. Coffee and chocolaty tasting,
creamy and easy!

Ingredients
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup brewed coffee
2 tablespoon corn starch
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablaspoon cocao powder
(if you like darker you can add more)
2 oz. chocolate(dark)
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt, whip cream

Combine milk, coffee, heavy cream in a saucepan and heat up. Mix corn starch, sugar, cocao powder in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk eggs and salt. Add half the way hot milk to the egg mixture and stir. Pour back into the pan. Add sugar mixture and then chocolate. Put in a blender.
After blend, portion the pudding into cups. Let them cool. Decorate with whip cream and grated chocolate..

I made my own cranberry flovered martini tonight.
Fill shaker with ice.
Combine 2 parts vodka with 3 parts mix
stir or shake. Strain into a coctail bowl.
Garnish with lime twists.

2009

I used wheat bread slices..
Cucumber dill relish and mayonnaise mix. Turkey breast or chopped red cabbage ( combined in vinegaer and salt ) Craker with cream cheese..

Potato pure, mayonnaise on the top and spreeded hot sauce!!!
Coctail meatball. I made the meatballs but you can use frozen. Just put in the oven.
Everything was tasty, but martini got us just before the champange;)
